NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The Hobart squash team ended its 11-match losing streak with an emphatic 9-0 win over the University of Virginia in the first round of the Conroy Trophy at the CSA National Championships at Yale University.

Senior Prateek Patni and sophomore Cale Forgues won at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, by the same 3-1 score, while first-year Nick Pearson, junior Brian Shiver, sophomore Peter Hansen, senior John Keating, junior Ned Lanphier, senior Andrew McDonough, and first-year Craig Chircop, swept their matches 3-0 at No. 3 through No. 9.

The Statesmen (5-17) will face Northwestern in the semifinals on Feb. 24 at 4 p.m.
