Golden Flyers top Herons

Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y.— The William Smith College lacrosse team fell to Nazareth College this afternoon in non-league play, 17-8. The Herons drop to 9-5 overall, while the Golden Flyers improve to 11-1.

Senior midfielder Sarah Dillon (Blair Academy/Oldwick, N.J.) and first-year attacker Molly Fitzgerald (Gould Academy/Sudbury, Mass.) led William Smith with two goals and an assist apiece. Senior midfielder Jessica Scott (Waynflete School/Portland, Maine) tallied a goal and an assist, while junior midfielder Rachel Stahl (Charles W. Baker/Baldwinsville, N.Y.), sophomore attacker Michaela Parnell (Guilford/Guilford, Conn.), and first-year attacker Sarah Goodkind (Millbrook School/Riverside, Conn.) each added a goal for the Herons.

Junior goalkeeper Morgan Baird (Pingree School/Gloucester, Mass.) took the loss and stopped nine shots for William Smith, while sophomore Becky Josefiak (West Seneca East/West Seneca, N.Y.) registered two saves.

The 16th-ranked Herons will host Ithaca on April 28 at 2 p.m. for their final game of the regular season.
