Hamilton jumped out to an early 7-3 lead at the 17 minute, 18 second mark following a traditional three-point play from Fasulo. William Smith claimed a 10-7 lead a few minutes later on back-to-back buckets by Czajkowski.

The Continentals tied the game at 14-all midway through the first half, thanks to a three-pointer from Wetmore. The hosts took a short-lived two-point lead with 8:17 left to play in the stanza, but the Herons regained the lead for good following two free throws and a good layup by Vespa.

William Smith led by as many as 10 before the break, but the Continentals went on a 12-5 run to end the half. The Herons took a slim 31-28 advantage into halftime.

The visitors quickly built on their lead in the second half, and held a nine point advantage with 18:28 left to play, after a good Cunningham jumper.

The Herons led the entire second half, and held off a late-game Hamilton run as the Continentals cut their deficit to five, 56-51, with 4:14 remaining. The Herons did not let them get closer, and increased their lead to nine again after a traditional three-point play by Coney at 3:56.

William Smith will be back in action on Feb. 1 when it hosts Liberty League opponent Clarkson at 6 p.m. in Bristol Gym. Fans unable to attend the game can watch the game live or follow along with live stats.
