Styer adds to career record in loss at Cortland

Box Score CORTLAND, N.Y.—William Smith College senior defender Charlotte Styer (Governor Mifflin/Mohnton, Pa.) made two defensive saves in a 4-0 loss at No. 11 Cortland this afternoon. Already, the Herons' career record holder in that category, Styer raised her mark to 15.

The Red Dragons, led by the three-point effort of Christine McCabe (1g, 1a), got two goals in each half to improve to 11-1 on the season. Goalie Stacy Billings made four stops for Cortland.

William Smith senior goalie Katie DeKraker (Staples/Westport, Conn.) made 10 saves in 43 minutes, 48 seconds before giving way to sophomore Chelsea Snyder (Cortland/Cortland, N.Y.), who did not face a shot in the final 26:12.

The Herons (8-5) are back in action on Oct. 18, when they visit No. 8 Lebanon Valley for a match scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
