Box Score The fourth-ranked Hobart College soccer team closed out its regular season schedule today with a 3-2 win at Fredonia. The Statesmen remain unbeaten on the season with a 16-0-2 mark, and set a new program record for wins in a season. The previous standard was 15, set by the 1992 and 1988 teams.

At the 16:49 mark, Hobart increased its lead to 2-0, thanks to an unassisted tally from first-year forward
Tommy Hayes (St. Anthony's/East Northport, N.Y.). The goal marked Hayes' second of the season.

Dan Riso (Red Hook/Red Hook, N.Y.) tallied his league-leading ninth goal of the year at 53:08. First-years
Michael Moulton (Providence Country Day/Coventry, R.I.) and
Anthony Rozmus (Our Lady of Lourdes/Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) assisted on the play that put the Statesmen up 3-0.
Fredonia made a late-game run, scoring two goals in the final 24 minutes of action. In the 66th minute Matt Grabowski tallied to give the Blue Devils life, followed by a goal from Cory Paine in the 77th minute, but Fredonia would run out of time.
Hobart dominated play for the majority of the game, out shooting Fredonia 21-5. Senior Statesmen goalkeeper
Pete Van Dellon (Webster Thomas/Webster, N.Y.) picked up three saves in his 16th win of the season, while Blue Devil goalie Andrew Feldmann collected five stops.
Hobart will host the Liberty League Tournament Nov. 7-8. The top-seeded Statesmen will take on fourth-seeded Union on Nov. 7 at 2 p.m.
