Geneseo answered in the final seconds of the first half. Sophomore forward Stephanie Maisonet (Pine Bush/Pine Bush, N.Y.) tipped in a shot from senior forward Sarah Doster (Williamsville North/Getzville, N.Y.) for the goal. William Smith took the 2-1 advantage into halftime.
The Herons took over after the break, netting four unanswered goals. Hamilton scored her second of the day and team-high 11th of the season in the 39th minute, followed by two goals from Mancuso, and one more from sophomore forward
Natalie Blauvelt (Pittsford Sutherland/Pittsford, N.Y.). The tallies marked Mancuso's and Blauvelt's first of the season.

Katie DeKraker (Staples/Westport, Conn.) picked up one save in the win, while Styer recorded her fifth defensive save of the season. Junior Emily O'Leary (Pittsford Sutherland/Pittsford, N.Y.) collected 11 saves for the Blue Knights.
