The fifth-ranked William Smith College soccer team will compete in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament on Nov. 15. The Herons earned an automatic bid into the tournament after winning their second straight Liberty League title. They will square off against Keuka at Nazareth at 11 a.m. William Smith holds a 13-1-4 overall mark, and is making its record 19th NCAA Tournament appearance.
Following the Herons' first round match, the host Golden Flyers (12-7-1) will face Endicott (15-3-2) at 1:30 p.m. The first round winners will meet on Sunday at 1 p.m. Fans unable to make it to Nazareth can watch the games live on

William Smith is led by sophomore forward
Brelynn Nasypany (Herkimer/Herkimer, N.Y.), who was tabbed the Liberty League Player of the Year after leading the conference with 13 goals, seven game-winning goals, and 30 points. Anchoring the Heron defense is first-year goalkeeper
Amanda Davis (Roxbury/Succasunna, N.J.). Davis currently leads the nation with a 0.22 goals against average, and ranks second in the country with a .935 save percentage. She owns a 7-0-4 record in net with eight shutouts.
Keuka (10-5-3) earned its second bid into the NCAA Tournament after winning the North East Athletic Conference Championship. The Storm's offense is led by Alyssa Hermenet (6 goals-7 assists), Courtney McLaughlin (7-3), Shana Jordan (7-3), and Alyssa Gumtow (6-5), while Ashley Vail minds the net. Vail owns a 1.07 goals against average, an .829 save percentage, and four shutouts.
General admission tickets ares $6, $3 for senior citizens and students with a valid ID, and $2 for children ages 3-12. Children under 2 are free.
