Cardinals hit late bucket to slip past Statesmen

Box Score GENEVA, N.Y.--Brandon Witte hit a runner in the lane with 1.6 seconds remaining to lift St. John Fisher over Hobart 56-54 in Bristol Gym in non-conference basketball action tonight.

On another make on the front end of a one-and-one, Estep gave the Statesmen their final lead of the night, 52-51at the 1:16 mark. Witte answered with a pair of free throw makes 16 seconds later to put the Cardinals in front by one and Connor Henderson made it a two-point advantage with yet another make on the front of a one-and-one.
