Hobart Hockey Helpers to collect toys at Oswego game

Hobart Hockey Helpers and the Wounded Warrior Project are teaming up with Theta Delta Chi Interest Group and the William Smith Club Ice Hockey Team to collect toys for the families of wounded U.S. military personnel.

On Dec. 15, donated toys will be shipped, courtesy of the Statesmen Athletic Association, to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Join the team by dropping off toys that are under $5 from Mon., Dec. 8 through Fri., Dec. 12 in the Trophy Lobby of Bristol Gymnasium. Toys will be also collected at The Cooler during the Hobart vs. Oswego hockey game on Sat., Dec. 13; faceoff is set for 4 p.m.

Hobart Hockey Helpers was established in 2007 by defenseman Ryan Adler to give the hockey team the opportunity to volunteer and give back through service projects in the community. Hobart Hockey Helpers have focused a great deal of its efforts in support of the Wounded Warrior Project.
