HILTON HEAD, S.C.—The Hobart tennis team split its first two matches of spring break, defeating St. Michael’s 6-3 on Sunday, while falling to Wisconsin-Eau Claire 8-1 today.
Against the Purple Knights, senior Charlie Davis, junior Adam Cohn, first-year Henry King, and sophomore Jamie Flanigan won at No. 1, No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 singles respectively, while the second doubles tandem of Cohn and first-year Matt Chin at No. 2 and Flanigan and first-year Will Tucker at No. 3 also scored victories for the Statesmen.
Davis earned the lone point against the Blugolds.
Hobart (3-3) is back in action on March 18, when the Statesmen take on FDU-Florham at noon.
