Hobart tennis tops St. John Fisher 6-3

GENEVA, N.Y.--The Hobart tennis team defeated St. John Fisher 6-3 in the Bristol Field House this afternoon. The Statesmen even their record at 7-7, while the Cardinals slip to 4-7.

Senior Charlie Davis (Manlius Pebble Hill School/Cazenovia, N.Y.) won his team-leading 10 singles match, capturing first singles 6-4, 6-0 over Fisher's Tim Adler. Junior Adam Cohn (Hawken School/Highland Heights, Ohio), first-year Harry King (Concord & Carlisle/Concord, Mass.), and junior Zach Schulz (Westhampton Beach/Westhampton, N.Y.) also won for Hobart at second, third and sixth singles, respectively.

The Statesmen also won first and third doubles behind the teams of Davis-King and sophomore Jamie Flanigan (Colorado Academy/Denver, Colo.) and first-year Will Tucker (Duxbury/Duxbury, Mass.).

Hobart is back in action on April 4, when the Statesmen visit RIT for a 4 p.m. match.
