GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith tennis team dispatched visiting Brockport 9-0 this afternoon. The win raises the Herons’ record to 7-5.

Junior Chelsea Rauck prevailed in the most competitive match of the afternoon, defeating Brockport’s Kristen Hemingway 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4) at first singles. William Smith won the remaining singles matches in straight sets, including No. 3 Shari Damon and No. 6 Erinn Cain, who both triumphed without losing a game.

The Herons are back in action on April 16, when they travel to Geneseo for a 4 p.m. match.
