ROCHESTER, N.Y.--The William Smith tennis team defeated Nazareth 9-0 to improve to 5-3 in dual matches this season. The loss drops the Golden Flyers to 7-10.

Chelsea Rauck, Amanda Slack, Melissa Slack, Erinn Cain, and Gaby Berkman won their singles matches in straight sets, while Shari Damon posted a hard-fought 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (10-8) win over Nazareth's Jackie Martinez. The win gives Berkman a team-best 8-1 singles record.

The Herons are back in action on April 5, when they visit Union for a 2 p.m. match.
