BreLynn Nasypany scored the game-winning goal with 38 seconds remaining in the second overtime period, as the fifth-ranked William Smith College soccer team defeated Liberty League foe Hamilton 1-0 this afternoon on Love Field. William Smith improved to 8-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the conference, while the Continentals fell to 4-4-0 on the season and 1-2-0 in the Liberty League.
This is the second time this week Nasypany has scored the deciding goal for the Herons in double-overtime. So far this season, she has netted a team-high five goals, including four game-winners.

Amanda Davis turned back four shots in net, including a one-on-one try from Continental Alex Rimmer in the 64th minute. Davis now has seven shutouts on the season. Kate Fowler picked up eight saves in goal for Hamilton.
William Smith held an 18-10 advantage in shots, including a 9-4 edge in shots on goal, and took three corner kicks to the Continental's one.
The Herons will be back in action on Oct. 9, when they host St. Lawrence for another Liberty League match at 4 p.m.
