Box Score GENEVA, N.Y.—The 14th-ranked Hobart College hockey team fell to 11th-ranked Elmira College 3-2 tonight in an ECAC West contest at The Cooler. The Statesmen slip to 3-3-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the league, while the Soaring Eagles improve to 6-2-0 on the season and 3-0-0 in the ECAC West.

Nick Broadwater set a new program record for saves in a game, stopping 49 of Elmira's 52 shots, including 18 in the second period, while senior
Aleksey Koval tallied both Statesmen goals.
The Soaring Eagles were led by Kevin Willer's two goals, and a goal and an assist from Rusty Masters. Brendan Sanders and Darcy Vaillancourt each added two helpers.
Willer netted his first goal on a power play 8 minutes, 50 seconds into the game. Sanders and Vaillancourt picked up the assists, and Elmira carried the 1-0 lead into the first break.

Dan Miller, tied the contest at 1-all. In the 19th minute, Koval gave Hobart a 2-1 lead after putting away a pass from senior
Blake Bonham on a faceoff.
The hosts' lead was short-lived, as Willer notched his second tally of the night on a power play just 13 seconds later. Vaillancourt and Masters recorded the helpers. The teams took a 2-2 tie into the final intermission.
Masters scored the game-winner for Elmira at 6:53 in the third period, thanks to assists from Sanders and Karl Linden, and the Soaring Eagles made the lead stand up.
Elmira held a 52-24 advantage in shots, and capitalized on 2-of-4 power play opportunities. The Statesmen were 1-for-3 on the power play.
Casey Tuttle collected 22 saves in net for the Soaring Eagles.
Hobart and Elmira will faceoff again tomorrow, Nov. 21, at 4 p.m. at The Cooler.
