The William Smith College soccer team is ranked ninth in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll. Previously ranked 14th, the Herons moved up after defeating RIT 1-0 in their regular season finale on Saturday. The win marked Head Coach

Kate Redmond tallied the lone goal vs. the Tigers. She scored unassisted in the 16th minute, marking her third goal of the season and second game-winner. Redmond was named the Liberty League Co-Offensive Performer of the Week for her efforts.

Amanda Davis collected her fifth Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week honor, after notching her league-leading 10th shutout of the season vs. RIT. She leads the conference in goals against average (0.36) and save percentage (.903) as well.
The Herons (11-3-2) are the top-seeded team in the Liberty League Tournament, and will host No. 4 Union (11-6-0) in the first round tomorrow, Nov. 4, at 1:30 p.m. William Smith squared off against the Dutchwomen back on Oct. 25.
