CLINTON, N.Y.—The Hobart College soccer team finished its season this afternoon with a 2-2 double overtime tie with Hamilton College in a Liberty League game played at Love Field. The Statesmen end the season with a 7-6-4 overall mark and a 1-4-2 record in league play. The Continentals are now 9-2-3 overall and 4-2-1 in the league.
Junior
Tommy Hayes started off the scoring in the 12th minute. He scored his third goal of the season off an assist from first-year Shayan Mosavi. Hamilton answered with a goal of its own in the 22nd minute. Sophomore Anthony Balbo fired a shot into the back of the net, and junior Frank Campagnano and first-year Leo Nizzi were credited with assists.
In the 78th miunte, senior
Justin Dotzman took back the lead for the Statesmen. Mosavi earned his second assist of the game. It was Dotzman's second goal this year. In the 86th minute, Campagnano tied up the game for a second time. This time he scored on a penalty kick. Neither team could net the game-winner through two overtime periods.
The Continentals out shot the Statesmen, 29-18. Hobart held a 10-8 edge in corner kicks. Junior
Charlie Hale made nine saves in all 110 minutes in goal for Hobart. Sophomore Eric Boole stopped seven shots in goal for Hamilton.
