GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart football team will close out the regular season against Rochester on Saturday, Nov. 13 on Boswell Field at the Caird Center for Sports and Recreation. The annual clash for the Centennial Cup is scheduled to kick off at 12:05 p.m.
Gates will open at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $5 for general admission, $2 for children under 12.
At 11 a.m., there will be a dedication ceremony at the Froelich Gatehouse, the main entrance to Boswell Field. The guests of honor will be Edward A. '55 and Joanne Froelich. Their generous support of the Campaign for the Colleges enabled Hobart and William Smith to renovate and endow the Abraham Sports Medicine Room and Visiting Team Locker Room in Elliott Varsity House. At 11:45 a.m., the Statesmen will honor the football team's 12 seniors. The Class of 2011 has guided Hobart to a record of 28-11 (.718), capturing two Liberty League Championships and earning two NCAA Tournament bids.
Then at halftime, the College will recognize the Hobart Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2010. The eight member class includes Mike Charpinsky '63, of Port Crane,
Mike Cragg, of Geneva, Eddie Froelich '55, of New York City, Hank Janczyk '76, of Gettysburg, Pa., Jon Kraus '55, of Yuba City, Calif., Larry Slattery '64, of Naples, Fla., Harvey Wiltsey '58, of Bellevue, Neb., and the late Don Bruno '55.
