Tournament Bracket

The Hobart basketball team will return to the Wendy's College Classic against Geneseo at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the Blue Knights' Kuhl Gymnasium. Formerly the Chase Scholarship Tournament, the Statesmen return to Division III's oldest tournament for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.

Hobart (3-1) is the tournament's No. 3 seed, while Geneseo (3-0) is the No. 8 seed. Teams were not matched up according to seeds to avoid pairing conference opponents in the first round. Roberts Wesleyan is the No. 1 seed, while St. John Fisher is No. 2. RIT, Rochester, Brockport, and Nazareth are seed No. 4 through No. 7, respectively.

The Statesmen and Blue Knights have met in each of the past two seasons. Hobart won last year's encounter 70-54 at Geneseo. Statesmen Tim Llewellyn and Matt Pebole shared game-high honors with 15 points apiece. Two years ago, the Blue Knights won in Geneva, 61-53.

The winner of Wednesday's game will take on the winner of Rochester and St. John Fisher on Friday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. at Roberts Wesleyan. The losers will meet on the same date and time at Hobart.
