The Hobart College hockey team will head to the Playland Ice Casino in Rye this Sat., Feb. 27, to take on 14th-ranked Manhattanville in an ECAC West Tournament semifinal game at 7 p.m. The third-seeded Statesmen carry a 13-9-3 overall record and a 9-4-2 conference mark into the weekend, while the second-seeded Valiants are 18-6-1 overall and 10-4-1 in ECAC West action.

Hobart and Manhattanville have met three times already this season, with the Valiants holding a 2-1 edge. Manhattanville topped the Statesmen twice in Geneva, thanks to a 4-2 win on Oct. 31, and a 3-2 overtime victory on Jan. 30, but Hobart delivered a 4-2 defeat to the Valiants in Rye on Dec. 5.

Brad Richard have paced the Statesmen vs. Manhattanville this winter. Koval tallied two goals and an assist, while Richard recorded four helpers. Junior

Matthew Wallace leads Hobart with 15 goals and 28 points, ranking fourth in the ECAC West in goals and eighth in points. First-year
Chris Cannizzaro is right behind with 11 goals and 22 points, while junior
Patrick Moriarty leads the team with 15 assists. Cannizzaro ranks second in the league in freshman scoring and ninth in goals, while Moriarty is 11th in assists.

Nick Broadwater leads the ECAC West with a .927 save percentage, and ranks second only to Manhattanville's Pierre-Olivier Lemieux with a 2.36 goals against average. Lemieux owns a 2.32 goals against average and a .906 save percentage (3rd in ECAC West).
Valiant Mickey Lang paces the ECAC West in points (36) and goals (22), while Arlen Marshall leads the conference with 26 assists. Lang registered two goals and two assists in the three-game series with the Statesmen, to go along with four helpers from Marshall.
In the other semifinal, top-seeded and 11th-ranked Elmira (17-7-1, 11-4-0) will host No. 4 Neumann (15-8-3, 7-5-3) on Saturday at 7 p.m. The semifinal winners will square off in the championship contest on March 6, hosted by the highest remaining seed.
