HYANNIS, Mass.—The Hobart hockey team rallied to defeat Babson 5-3 in a first round game of the inaugural Cape Cod Lighthouse College Hockey Invitational Tournament. Sophomore
Tommy Fiorentino led the Statesmen with three goals.
Hobart (3-4-0) will take on Amherst in the tournament championship tomorrow, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. The Lord Jeffs defeated Salem State 5-1 in their first round game played earlier this afternoon.

Bronson Kovacs chipped in a goal and two assists. Junior
Harry Radovich registered two assists. Junior
Nick Broadwater played the opening 11:41 in goal and stopped six shots. Junior
Marty Ausserhofer played the final 48:19 and finished with 16 saves. Ausserhofer improved to 2-0-0 this season.
The Beavers (2-4-0) scored two goals in the first 8:16. Trevor Hines scored back-to-back goals. He struck first at 2:01 and then put Babson up 2-0 off assists from Cody Carlson and PT Donato at 8:16. At 14:06, Fiorentino scored his first goal of the season to make it 2-1. Kovacs and Radovich set up the play.

Frank Salituro capitalized on a power play after a pass from junior
Brad Richard to tie the game at two at 8:04 in the second period. Joe DiPietro took back the lead for the Beavers at 14:22. With 33 seconds left in the middle period, Fiorentino took advantage of a Hobart power play to tie the game at three. First-year
Terrence O'Neill and Kovacs earned the assists.
Hobart took control in the third period. Kovacs recorded his second goal of the year and what proved to be the game-winner off an assist from Radovich just 1:56 into the final period. Babson pulled its goalie in the final minutes of the game for the extra skater, but the Beavers were unable to tie the game. Instead, Fiorentino found the back of the goal for the third time in the game for the final. This time he scored on an empty net. First-year

Zeke Testa finished with 30 saves in goal for Babson. The Statesmen enjoyed a 35-25 advantage in shots. Hobart was 3-for-6 on the power play and the Beavers were 0-for-2.
