Liberty League commissioner Tracy King has announced that the Liberty League tournament semifinal games in field hockey, men's soccer and women's soccer have been moved to Thursday, Nov. 1, due to the potential impact of Hurricane Sandy.

All three tournaments were originally scheduled as Wednesday-Saturday formats, but will now be played on a Thursday-Saturday schedule. Higher-seeded teams will continue to host in each round. Starting times for Thursday games should remain the same as the original Wednesday start times.

The William Smith field hockey team is the top seed and will host No. 4 Rensselaer at 5 p.m. on McCooey Field. The match will be broadcast by WHWS-FM and can be seen online with All-Access Video. Live Stats will also be available online.

The William Smith soccer team is the No. 2 seed and will host No. 3 RIT at 2:30 p.m. The contest is tentatively schedule for Cozzens Field. Administrators will evaluate the natural grass surface on Wednesday morning to determine if the game should be moved to the FieldTurf of Boswell Field. The match will be broadcast by WHWS-FM and can be seen online with All-Access Video. Live Stats will also be available online.
