Frank Salituro scored two goals to lead the Statesmen to a 7-3 win over host Nazareth in an ECAC West game played tonight at the Sports Centre at MCC.

Robert Sovik chipped in two assists. The Statesmen improved to 6-0-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the ECAC West. Nazareth is now 2-7-0 and 0-5-0 in conference play.
Just 3:44 into the first period, Zach Lewis capitalized on a power-play after a pass from Reed Smith. The Statesmen answered with back-to-back goals to take a 2-1 lead. At 5:57 Corcoran tied things up after passes from sophomore

Harry Radovich on the power play. At 9:21, Gamache put Hobart ahead. Corcoran and Sovik earned the assists. With 3:43 left in the opening period, Scott Dawson took advantage of another Golden Flyers power play to tie the game at two.
Hobart came out and scored two goals in the second period to go up 4-2. Just 1:49 in, junior
Keith Clarke notched his third goal of the season to give Hobart the lead that they would hang on to for the rest of the game. Michel set up the play. At 7:31 Salituro scored on a backhanded strike. With 24 seconds left in the middle period, Tom Seravalli put the Golden Flyers back within one. Sean de Herder logged the assist.

Tommaso Traversa capped the victory with an empty net goal with 1:43 left in the game.
Senior
Marty Ausserhofer played all 60 minutes and finished with 20 saves to pick up his second win of the season. Ed Zdolshek finished with 31 saves in 59:47 in goal for Nazareth. The Statesmen enjoyed a 38-23 advantage in shots, limiting Nazareth to just four shots in the second period. Hobart finished 2-for-5 on the power play, while the Golden Flyers were 2-for-6.
The Statesmen will be back in action on Tuesday, Nov. 20 when they host Hamilton for a non-league game at The Cooler at 7 p.m.
