At 9:25 in the first period, Michel put Hobart up 1-0. He drilled a shot that beat the Potsdam goalie, Shane Talarico, on his glove side. It was Michel's second goal this year. Hannah and Salituro earned the assists.

The Bears answered at 13:01 in the first. Matt Thompson connected after a pass from Billy Pascalli. However, the Statesmen came out strong in the second period taking back the lead and holding on for the remainder. Just 1:58 in, first-year Mac Olson sent home a shot to give Hobart the 2-1 advantage. It was Olson's third goal this year. Hannah and senior Harry Radovich set up the play. Salituro tipped in a shot from Michel at 8:17 in the middle period to put Hobart up 3-1. Hannah notched another assist. Salituro now leads the Statesmen with nine goals this season.

Hobart held a 38-34 edge in shots and went 1-for-2 on the power play. Potsdam was 0-for-1 on the power play. Talarico finished with 35 saves in 59:03 for the Bears.
