The Hobart basketball team travels to Schenectady N.Y., for a Liberty League contest against the Union College Dutchmen at the Viniar Athletic Center. The game, which features the Liberty League's top two scoring teams, is scheduled to tipoff at 8 p.m.
The Statesmen (16-4, 9-2) sit atop the Liberty League standings with five games remaining. Junior guard
Stefan Thompson leads the team in scoring with 13.7 ppg. He also boasts team-bests with 82 assists and 27 steals. Sophomore forward
Richie Bonney is shooting the lights out, ranking 18th in the nation in field goal percentage (.612). Senior forward
Matt Pebole has collected a team-high 7.5 rpg.
Hobart currently ranks in the top 25 nationally in field goal percentage (10th, .496), scoring margin (23rd, +13.6), rebound margin (24th, +7.4), and turnovers per game (24th, 11.7).
The Dutchmen (14-6, 7-5) enter tonights contest in fifth place. Keven Donohue leads the team in scoring (15.9 ppg), rebounds (7.9 rpg), and assists (49). Rusmir Dzanko ranks second on the team in scoring (13.9 ppg) and rebounds (5.2 rpg). Joe Mason has a team-high 30 steals for the Dutchmen. Union ranks in the top 25 nationally in assist to turnover ratio (3rd, 1.43/g), assists per game (6th, 18.7 apg), and field-goal percentage (16th, .491).
