The Statesmen improve to 3-1-0 overall, and Rochester falls to 4-2-0 this season.
After a scoreless first half, the Statesmen broke through in the 57th minute. Hobart earned a corner and played it in short to first-year
Marco Ronning who centered a pass to Kittelberger who jumped higher than the Rochester defense to get a head on it and find the back of the net. He now leads the Statesmen with seven points on a team-high three goals and an assist. Kittelberger has notched at least two points in each of the last three games.
Rochester had the first good chance in the game about 13 minutes in when Nick Pastore, stole the ball from a Hobart defender and fired a shot right on net. Hobart goalie sophomore
Mike Lucas stood tall in making the save to keep the Yellowjackets off the board. Lucas played all 90 minutes and finished with four saves to earn his second shutout of the season.

Will Abbott unleashed a hard shot that the Yellowjackets' keeper Scott Garfing just got a piece of. The shot deflected off the senior goalie and rolled off the left post and out of play, keeping the score at 0-0. Garfing played the entire game in goal for the Yellowjackets and stopped seven shots.
The Statesmen enjoyed a 16-8 advantage in shots and an 8-3 lead in corners.
Hobart will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 19, when they host Utica for another non-league match beginning at 4:30 p.m.
