Box Score The Hobart College soccer team cruised to a 3-0 victory over host Keene State this afternoon in its final match of the Xara Soccer Classic in Keene, N.H. Five different Statesmen earned a point in Hobart's first win of the season.
The Statesmen are now 1-1 overall, and the Owls fall to 0-2 this season. First-year
Charlie Kelly, and sophomores
TJ Kaszubski and
Kyle Wiatrowski each scored the first goals of their Hobart careers.
After a scoreless first period, Kelly broke through for the Statesmen 14:43 into the second half. Sophomore
Marco Ronning set up the play. In the 82nd minute, Wiatrowski chipped in an unassisted tally to put Hobart up 2-0. With 6:50 left in regulation, Kaszubski capitalized off a pass from senior
Kaeghan Kelly to cap the victory.

Tyler Serafine played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with two saves, earning the first shutout of his Hobart career.
The Statesmen enjoyed a 21-13 edge in total shots. The Owls earned five corners, while Hobart recorded three. Malcom Cheney played all 90 minutes in goal for Keene State and stopped seven shots.
The Statesmen will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 7 when they travel to take on Brockport at 7 p.m.
