The lone goal in the first half came on a penalty kick by Pelletier in the 27th minute. The Heron offense took over in the second half. Longo produced back-to-back goals in the 50th and 63rd minutes. The first came off an assist from first-year
Kara Shue and the second from junior
Brenna Kincaid. Randaccio scored her first collegiate goal in the 66th minute after a pass from sophomore
Zoe Eth to make it 4-0. Mitchell capped the scoring with back-to-back tallies in the 74th and 85th minutes. Her first goal came off a feed from first-year
Sarah Freer.
The Herons held a 17-4 advantage in shots and an 11-1 lead in corners. Hannah McLinchey played all 90 minutes in goal for Fredonia (1-4-1). She made six saves.
William Smith will be back in action tomorrow, Sept. 22, when it travels to play a non-league match at Pitt-Bradford at 3 p.m.
