Statesmen tripped up by Brockport

Box Score The Hobart College soccer fell 2-0 to Brockport in a non-league match played tonight at Brockport High School. The Statesmen are now 1-2-0 overall and the Golden Eagles improve to 4-0-0.

It wasn't until the 67th minute that Brockport broke the scoreless tie. Chris O'Gorman chipped in the first goal of the game. Bobby Ross set up the play. In the 87th minute, O'Gorman struck again after a cross from Matthew Roorda to pad the Golden Eagles victory.

Casey Sullivan played all 90 minutes in goal for Brockport and finished with seven saves. Junior Mike Lucas played the entire match in goal for the Statesmen and stopped three shots. Hobart held an 18-14 advantage in shots and a 6-4 edge in corners.

The Statesmen will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 10, when they host St. John Fisher at 4:30 p.m.
