Box Score The Hobart College soccer team dropped a Liberty League contest 2-0 to host Vassar in Poughkeepsie, New York, this afternoon. The Statesmen fall to 6-4-1 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play, while the Brewers improve to 9-3-1 overall and 3-0-0 in the Liberty League.
 
Jordan Palmer struck first for Vassar 18:17 in off assists from Reid Smith and Tanner Sands to make it 1-0. In the 59th minute, Gavin Jennings notched the insurance goal for the Brewers off a pass from Palmer.
 
Senior goalie Mike Lucas played all 90 minutes in goal and made one save for Hobart. Adam Warner played the entire match in net for Vassar and finished with four saves.
 
Each team logged 13 total shots and both the Statesmen and the Brewers posted five corners.
 
Hobart will be back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 7, when it hosts Nazareth for a non-league game at 7 p.m., under the lights on Boswell Field.
