ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The William Smith College basketball trailed by just seven at halftime, but the University of Rochester shot 64 percent from the floor in the second half on its way to an 81-50 victory at the Louis Alexander Palestra tonight. The Yellowjackets improved to 2-0, while the Herons fall to 0-2.

Alyssa DiCampli had five points and a team-high six rebounds. The Herons had a 39-35 advantage on the glass, but committed twice as many turnovers as Rochester.
Twelve different Yellowjackets cracked the scoring column led by senior Blair Landolfi's game-high 17 points. She was 7-for-7 from the floor, including 3-for-3 from behind the arc. Al Leslie added 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and handed out three assists.
William Smith grabbed its only lead of the night, 8-7, on senior
Chloe Hayter's layup at the 16:14 mark of the first half. The Herons trailed by just three with less than eight minutes remaining in the opening half, but eight straight UR points put the home team up 11 with 4:00 left before halftime. Rochester went into the break with a 32-25 lead.
The Yellowjackets started the second half on a 18-5 run and never looked back, maintaining a double digit lead over the final 18 minutes of the game.
William Smith will make its home debut on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m., hosting SUNY Cortland.
