The Hobart College soccer team secured the No. 4 seed in the Liberty League tournament with a win over RIT in its final regular season game on Nov. 1. The Statesmen will now travel to take on top-seeded St. Lawrence in Canton, New York, Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 1:30 p.m., for a tournament semifinal game.

The Statesmen bring a 12-4-3 overall record into the league tournament, and are unbeaten in their last eight matches. Hobart leads the Liberty League in points (112) and goals (41) and ranks second in assists (30). The Statesmen have logged 10 shutouts this fall.

Junior midfielder
Marco Ronning leads the team with five goals, eight assists and 18 points. Junior
Jacob Fox has also produced five goals and added three assists for 13 points. Junior
Tyler Serafine has been playing the most minutes in goal as of late. He is sporting a 0.76 goals against average and an .880 save percentage. Serafine has a 5-1-2 record and four shutouts.

The Saints are currently ranked No. 11 in the nation. They bring a 14-2-1 overall record into postseason play. Rob Brandell leads the team with 16 points on six goals and four assists. Mark Provost has dished out a team-high five assists and added three goals for 11 points, while Harry Copeland has posted seven goals and an assist for 15 points. Sean Houston has played the majority of minutes in goal and is sporting a 0.73 goals against average and a .771 save percentage to go along with a 9-1-0 record.
