The William Smith College field hockey team finished the regular season with a 10-7 overall record and a 3-3 record in Liberty League play. The Herons earned the fourth seed in the Liberty League tournament and will travel to top seeded Rochester Wednesday, Nov. 5 for a semifinal contest starting at 5 p.m.

Tomorrow's game marks the second meeting between the two teams this season. On Oct. 17, William Smith jumped out to a 2-1 halftime lead but the Yellowjackets used two second half goals to squeak past the Herons. William Smith first-years

Hannah Wood recorded a game-high three points (1g, 1a). Rochester's Claire Dickerson scored the game-winner with just under 10 minutes left in the contest. The Herons had one final chance when
Maura Moran earned a penalty corner in the final minute but the Herons were unable to convert.

Wood leads William Smith and is tied for second in the Liberty League in goals (20) and points (45). Sophomore
Alessandra Patrizio has recorded a team-high six assists this season. Senior
Catherine Hare has started every game in net for the Herons, posting a 1.83 goals against average and a .760 save percentage while making 95 saves.

The Yellowjackets (15-4, 5-1) are led offensively by Michelle Relin. She has recorded team-highs in goals (20), assists (5) and points (45). Tara Lamberti has seen a majority of the action in goal for Rochester posting a 1.27 goals against average and a .855 save percentage.
