The 99th game in the long-standing football rivalry between Hobart College and Union College will be televised by Time Warner Cable Sports Channel on Saturday, Oct. 31. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:07 p.m. at Bailey Field in Schenectady.

In a series that dates back to 1896, Union holds a 50-46-2 lead against Hobart, but the Statesmen have five in a row against the Dutchmen. Hobart is 6-2 in its last eight trips to Schenectady and 24-30-2 overall as the visitor.

The Statesmen are 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the Liberty League. Hobart will rely on a strong defense as it aims to end a two-game slide. The Statesmen are second in the nation in passing yards allowed (99.9/g), 10th in total defense (243.7 yds/g), 11th in first down defense (opponents have just 92 first downs), and 17th in third down conversion defense (.274).

Union is 0-7 overall, 0-4 in the league. The Dutchmen led 30-13 at Rochester last week, only to see the Yellowjackets throw three touchdown passes in the final eight minutes of the game to eke out a 33-30 win. Union is averaging 23.0 points per game while yielding 35.9 points per game. The Dutchmen are fifth in the league in total offense, producing 339.3 yards per game (128.1 rush/211.1 pass). Union is last in the league in total defense, giving up 448.7 yards per game (210.3 rush/238.4 pass).
