GENEVA, N.Y.—The University of Rochester pressured William Smith College into 38 turnovers on the way to an 80-62 victory in Bristol Gym tonight. The Yellowjackets put four players in double figures led by senior Kayla Kibling's team-high 13 points.

Kibling was 4-of-6 from the floor, 3-of-5 from behind the arc, and 2-for-2 from the line. She also dished out a game-high five assists. Senior Kelsey Hurley added 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting while junior Brynn Lauer also had 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting and added a game-high four steals. Sophomore Lauren Deming chipped in 10 points.

Kendra Quinn-Moultrie scored a game-high 14 points off the bench. Junior

Krista Anken grabbed a game-high eight rebounds, leading the Herons to a 45-25 advantage on the glass.

William Smith (0-1) was plagued by turnovers right from the start, but still managed to keep the game close, trailing by just two with little more than a minute remaining in the first quarter. Rochester (1-0) made the final five points of the stanza, including a banked home 3-pointer at the buzzer by sophomore Mary Kronenwetter, to carry a 20-13 lead in the second quarter.

UR used a 19-3 run to start the second to build a 23-point lead and never looked back. The Yellowjackets led by as many as 29 in the first half and as many as 34 in the third quarter, before the Herons were able to gain back some ground in the fourth quarter against Rochester's bench.

The Herons will be back in action on Friday, Nov. 20, when they play at Bridgewater State in the opening round of the Cave Classic. Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. The Yellowjackets will return home to host Stevenson on Friday at 6 p.m. in the opening round of the Chuck Ressler Tournament.
