The eighth-ranked William Smith College field hockey team will host the 2015 William Smith Classic this weekend at McCooey Field. The Herons will welcome Lebanon Valley, Manhattanville, and St. Lawrence to Geneva.

On Saturday, William Smith will take on the Valiants at 11 a.m., while the Saints and Dutchmen will square off at 2 p.m. Sunday will see St. Lawrence take on Manhattanville at 11 a.m. and the Herons face Lebanon Valley at 2 p.m.

Alessandra Patrizio leads William Smith (5-0) in goals and points. Her 12 goals and 25 points lead the Liberty League as well. Patrizio currently ranks second in the nation in goals per game (2.40) and points per game (5.00). The Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week notched her second hat trick of the season Tuesday night against Nazareth. Sophomore
Hannah Wood leads the team with five assists. Junior
Biz Chirco has started all five games in goal this season for the Herons, posting a 1.60 goals against average and a .739 save percentage.

Lebanon Valley (2-3) comes to Geneva after dropping a 4-2 contest against Haverford on Saturday. Lebanon Valley is led offensively by Brittany Fleisher, who has four goals and one assist for nine points this season. Morgan Yearly has started all five games in goal, recording a 2.46 goals against average and a .727 save percentage.

The Valiants bring a 4-3 record into this weekend's action. On Thursday, Manhattanville defeated Ramapo 2-1 to extend its winning streak to four games. Rylee McGuire leads the team with four assists and 10 points. Her three goals are tied for the team lead with Bregje Smits. Meghan Hughes has played a majority of the minutes in goal for Manhattanville, posting a 0.95 goals against average and a .829 save percentage.

The Saints (2-2) make their first of two trips to McCooey Field this weekend. St. Lawrence is coming off of a 4-1 victory over Wells on Sunday. Samantha Haab and Kara Pelosi share team-high honors with nine points (4g, 1a). Kim Haab has started all four of the Saints' games, registering a 2.86 goals against average and a .750 save percentage.
