The Hobart College hockey team edged Salve Regina tonight 2-1 in its final game of the 2016 Vineyard Classic tonight in Oak Bluffs, Mass. The Statesmen are now 12-2-2 overall.

Vincent Russo sent home the game winner with 3:56 left in regulation.

Frank Oplinger played all 60 minutes and finished with 37 saves. Blake Wojtalaplayed 58:19 and made 35 stops. The Statesmen were 1-for-2 on the power play, while the Seahawks went 1-for-4.Â

The Statesmen will be back in action on Jan. 22, when they host Nazareth for an ECAC West game at 7:30 p.m. in The Cooler.
