William Smith College sophomore goalie Veronica Romines was named the Liberty League Women's Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week. Sophomore Kristina Camaj garnered a spot on the weekly honor roll.
 
Romines played all 90 minutes in goal and stopped the two shots she faced to secure a 2-0 win over RIT. It's her seventh shutout this fall. The Herons completed Liberty League play without allowing a single goal. Romines is sporting a 0.09 goals against average, a .938 save percentage and a 13-0-0 record in goal. She leads the nation in goals against average and ranks fifth in save percentage.
 
Camaj notched the game-winning goal against the Tigers. It's her third goal in two games and fourth goal this season. She has notched nine points this fall.
 
The Herons (16-0-0) earned their 10th straight Liberty League regular season title and the right to host their Liberty League tournament semifinal against No. 4 Union. The game will take place on Cozzens Field tomorrow, Nov. 1, at 2:30 p.m.
 
Senior Kara Shue leads William Smith with 33 points on 11 goals and 11 assists. She's 13th in Division III in assists per game (0.69) and 15th in total assists. The Herons are sixth in the nation in assists per game (3.06), and seventh in goals against average (0.25), points per game (10.81), and scoring offense (3.88).
 
Union brings an 8-5-4 overall record to Geneva. Katie Monahan leads the team with 19 points on eight goals and three assists. Sydney Keane has dished out a team-high six assists. Kelsey Hartsoe has played the most minutes in goal. She's sporting a 0.94 goals against average, an .822 save percentage and a 7-2-4 overall record.
