Ten members of the Hobart College football team were named to the 2016 Liberty League All-Academic team.

To be eligible for all-academic honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3 through the end of the 2016 spring semester.

- Kai Brandford, international relations and music major
- Sean Bright, economics major
- Michael Clancy, classics major
- Sean Cunningham, mathematics major
- Alex Helm, economics major
- Dylan Quay, economics major
- Rio Schmidt, studio art major
- Stephen VanHoesen, geoscience major

Cunningham is making his third straight appearance on the team. Ball, Birght, Quay and VanHoesen made the team for the second year in a row. In addition, Cunningham, Ball, Helm and Schmidt garnered CoSIDA Academic All-District honors this year.

Hobart finished the year with a 9-2 overall record and a 6-1 mark in the Liberty League. The Statesmen earned a share of their 11th Liberty League Championship and made their 10th NCAA tournament appearance. Hobart was ranked 19th in the final D3football.com Top 25 poll.
