The Saints stretched their lead to three with back-to-back goals to start the second quarter. It remained a 5-2 game for nearly 10 minutes until Stefaniak ended a nearly 17-minute long scoring drought for the Statesmen. Siena took a 5-3 lead into halftime.
The third quarter opened with consecutive goals by Llewellyn and Brown to tie the game. Eric Munn gave the Saints their final lead of the game, 6-5, with his goal at the 11:38 mark. Just over a minute later, sophomore
Riley McTague tied the game and three minutes after that Donnelly put Hobart on top 7-6. Cook forged the game's fourth and final tie just 13 seconds later.
With under seven minutes remaining in the third, Siena was penalized for a hold and Brown scored the only man-up goal of the game to put the Statesmen in the lead for good. He closed out the third quarter scoring and started the fourth with his team-leading seventh goal of the season. Junior
Kevin Murphy and Donnelly kept the run going to give Hobart a 12-7 lead with 11:43 remaining.
Siena scored around the eight minute mark and again near the two minute mark, but was to get back on track.
