The William Smith College field hockey team remained at No. 20 in the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Coaches Poll released today. The Herons begin a three-game road trip this afternoon at Oswego at 4 p.m. It is the first road game for William Smith in over a month. On Saturday, the Herons will jump back into Liberty League play against Vassar.
William Smith brings an 8-2 record into the week. Last Wednesday, The Herons edged Cortland 1-0 in non-conference action. Senior

Emily King finished the game with a career-high eight saves. On Saturday, the Herons picked up their first league win with a 6-3 victory over Rensselaer. Senior

Fallon Adair has a conference best nine assists and is tied for second on the team with six goals. In goal, King is 5-1 with a 1.48 goals against average and a .735 save percentage.
The Lakers are 4-2 entering this afternoon's game. Oswego has won its last four games including a 3-2 victory over Morrisville the last time out. The Lakers are led offensively by Katie Reynolds who has 14 points (6g, 2a). Lacey Woite is right behind her with 10 points. Monica Harvey leads Oswego with five assists. Sanita Charap has played every minute in goal for the Lakers. She owns a 3.00 goals against average and a .786 save percentage.
The Brewers bring a 6-4 overall record and a 1-1 Liberty League mark into Saturday's game. Vassar is riding a two-game losing streak after falling 2-0 to Rochester on Saturday. Megan Caveny leads the Brewers with 11 goals and 14 points. She is second in the Liberty League in both categories. Cristina Lopez and Sam Plante are tied for the team lead with four assists each. Liz Rotolo has started all 10 games in goals for Vassar. She has a 1.05 goals against average and a .804 save percentage.
