The William Smith College field hockey team finished the regular season with a 12-5 overall record and a 4-3 mark in Liberty League play. The Herons earned the fourth seed in the Liberty League tournament and will travel to top seeded Rochester Wednesday, Nov. 1 for a semifinal contest starting at 7 p.m. at Fauver Stadium.

Tomorrow's game will be the second meeting between William Smith and the Yellowjackets this season. On Sept. 23, then No. 16 Rochester edged the Herons, who were ranked 18th at the time, 4-3 in overtime. Claire Dickerson scored six minutes into the extra session to secure the victory. William Smith had leads of 2-1 and 3-2 in the game but Rochester was able to respond to tie the game both times. Seniors

Sierramarie Fitzgerald scored the goals for William Smith. Kiran Sundaram made a game-high 10 saves in 76 minutes of action for the Yellowjackets.

Hannah Wood leads the Herons and the Liberty League with 21 goals and 49 points. Junior
Fallon Adair is second on the team with 28 points thanks in large part to her league leading 12 assists. Senior
Emily King has played a majority of the minutes in goal for William Smith. She is 9-4 with a 1.56 goals against average and a .701 save percentage.

Rochester (15-3, 7-0) clinched the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament with a shootout win over Skidmore. The Yellowjackets are led offensively by Dickerson's 20 goals and 42 points. She is second in the conference in both goals and points. Olivia Denny has a team best nine assists, two of which came against the Herons.
