The Hobart College soccer team captured its second straight Liberty League regular season title and earned the right to host the Liberty League Men's Soccer Tournament semifinals and championship this weekend.

Both the semifinals and the championship will be played on Cozzens Field. The Statesmen will play the first semifinal on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. against No. 4 seed RIT. No. 2 Vassar will take on No. 3 St. Lawrence in the second semifinal at 1:30 p.m. The winners will advance to the championship which will be played on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m.

The Statesmen bring an 8-4-4 overall record into postseason play. Hobart completed its Liberty League schedule with a 6-0-3 mark. The Statesmen lead the Liberty League with just 13 goals allowed and a 0.81 goals against average. Senior
Hunter Critchlow leads the team with four goals and nine points. Junior goalie
Alec Kaminer has played the most minutes in goal. He's sporting a 0.79 goals against average, an .800 save percentage and a 6-3-3 record. Kaminer has earned two shutouts this fall.

RIT brings an 8-5-3 record to Geneva. The Tigers went 5-2-2 in league play. RIT topped Clarkson 2-1 in a Liberty League Tournament first round match on Tuesday. The Tigers are riding an eight-game unbeaten streak. RIT leads the conference with 37 goals and 35 assists this season. Simon Carno leads the team with 18 points and has a league-high 12 assists. Dean Kouroupas has posted a team-high seven goals and three assists for 17 points. Peter Cinibulk has played the most minutes in goal. He's sporting a 1.37 goals against average, a .650 save percentage and two shutouts.

Vassar has logged a 9-4-3 overall record and went 6-1-2 in conference action. Jose Novas leads the Brewers with 18 points on seven goals and four assists. He has also registered a league-high four game-winning goals this season. Four Brewers have played in goal this season. Matt Marcelino and Will Marment have the most minutes. Marcelino has a 1.11 goals against average, a .727 save percentage, a 5-3-1 record and two shutouts. Marment has a 0.73 goals against average, an .838 save percentage, a 4-1-2 record and two shutouts.

St. Lawrence brings an 8-6-3 overall record to Cozzens Field. The Saints finished out Liberty League play with a 5-2-2 record. SLU edged Skidmore 1-0 in its first round match on Tuesday afternoon. Jethro Dede and Brendan McNamee lead the team with 15 points. Dede has posted six goals and three assists, while McNamee has notched a team-high seven goals and added an assist. Mike Smith has played every minute in goal this season. He has a 1.40 goals against average, a .745 save percentage and seven shutouts.
