The Statesmen are back in action this weekend with two NEHC games. Hobart plays at Skidmore on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m., and then hosts the Thoroughbreds on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.

Mike Faulkner have a team-high nine points. Toupal has posted five goals and four assists, while Faulkner has notched two goals and a team-high seven assists. Faulkner is tied for second in the nation in points per game by a first-year (1.50) and ranks third in points per game by a defenseman. He is also tied for 13th in Division III in assists per game (1.17). Â

Frank Oplinger and sophomore
Alexander Connal have split time in goal. Oplinger sports a 1.72 goals against average, a .927 save percentage and a 2-1-1 record. Connal has a 1.94 goals against average, a .902 save percentage and a 2-1-1 record.

The Statesmen are tied for ninth in the nation on the power play (26.5%) and are tied for 10th in scoring defense (1.88 ga/gm).

Skidmore is 1-7-1 overall and 0-5-1 in the NEHC. The Thoroughbreds are coming off a 4-1 loss to Hamilton in the championship game of the Skidmore Thanksgiving Invitational. Matt Muzyka leads the team with eight points on four goals and four assists. Tim Allen has dished out a team-high five assists. Brandon Kasel has played the most minutes in goal. He has a 3.35 goals against average, a .902 save percentage and a 1-7-0 record.
