The Hobart College hockey team will host two NEHC games in The Cooler this weekend. The Statesmen face Babson on Friday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m., and take on No. 7/10 UMass Boston on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Hobart is ranked No. 9 in the latest D3hockey.com poll and was voted No. 11 in this week's USCHO.com poll. The Statesmen bring an 8-3-4 overall record and a 5-1-2 mark in the NEHC into this weekend. Hobart returns home to The Cooler after five straight games on the road. The Statesmen rank second in the league in both scoring offense (3.40 g/gm) and scoring defense (2.00 ga/gm).

Jonas Toupal leads the team with 14 points on nine goals and five assists. He ranks third in the NEHC in goals and is tied for seventh in points. Senior
Jordan Haskell is closed behind with six goals and five assists for 11 points. Sophomore
Lawson MacDougall ranks fifth in the conference with a team-high 11 assists. Sophomore

Frank Oplinger have split time in goal. Connal has a 1.74 goals against average, a .933 save percentage and a 5-2-1 record, while Oplinger is sporting a 2.19 goals against average, a .910 save percentage and a 3-1-3 record.

Babson brings a 7-5-2 overall record and a 5-2-1 mark in the NEHC into The Cooler. Rob Devaney leads the team with 13 points on five goals and eight assists. Matt Pompa has played the majority of minutes in goal. He's sporting a 2.19 goals against average, a .929 save percentage and a 6-5-2 record.

UMass Boston plays on Friday night at Skidmore before coming to Geneva. The Beacons bring an 11-4-0 overall record and a 6-2-0 mark in the NEHC into the weekend. UMass Boston leads the NEHC in scoring offense, averaging 4.67 goals per game. Colin Larkin leads the team with 27 points on 14 goals and 13 assists. Bailey MacBurnie has seen the most minutes in goal. He has a 2.09 goals against average, a .919 save percentage and a 10-2-0 record.
