GENEVA, N.Y.-The William Smith College ice hockey team tallied a program record 13 goals as it collected its 10th win of the season at the Cooler this afternoon. Ten different Herons recorded multi-point games in the 13-0 United Collegiate Hockey Conference victory over Lebanon Valley.
 
William Smith (10-3-3, 6-0-2) was led by sophomore 
Taylor Morash's five points (1g, 4a). Juniors 
Lindsay Brown, 
Jordan Roetzer, and 
Stephanie Hampton each had two goals in the victory. First-year 
Olivia Williams made 11 saves as she collected the first shutout of her collegiate career and improved to 2-1-0 on the year.
 
The Herons scored four goals in the first, five in the second, and four in the third as they extended their home unbeaten streak to 13 games. William Smith is 10-0-3 at the Cooler dating back to January 28, 2017.
 
Senior 
Krista Federow opened the scoring at 3:21 of the first period with her eighth goal of the season. She won a neutral zone faceoff to Hampton on her left wing. Hampton split a pair of defenders and slipped the pass to Federow. Federow wristed the shot between the goalie's legs and across the goal line. Hampton's first goal of the game came 38 seconds later. She beat Jillian Moffatt with a quick wrist shot from the slot. Federow and sophomore 
Gina Scibetta were credited with assists on the goal.
 
Brown gave William Smith a 3-0 lead with her first goal of the game and fourth of the season. She collected a pass from first-year 
Jules Kennedy and snapped a shot past Moffatt. First-year 
Emily Martino made it 4-0 with her second goal of the season. She collected a pass from her sister 
MaryKate Martino in the right faceoff circle and wristed a shot into the top left corner of the goal. Roetzer was also credited with an assist on the goal.
 
Egan Sachs-Hecht got in on the action with her first goal of the season. She flicked a shot from the high slot over Moffatt's glove. Morash was credited with an assist on the goal. Sixty-one seconds later Kennedy tipped a 
Kate Klimaszewski shot across the goal line. 
Emily Martino also picked up an assist on the goal. Morash's fourth goal of the season gave the Herons a 7-0 lead. She collected a pass from Mulligan in the slot and flipped the puck across the goal line. First-year 
Julia Mings also picked up an assist on the goal. Roetzer and senior 
Rebecca Begley added goals to close out the second period. Roetzer's third of the season was scored with the team's playing 4-on-4, while Begley collected a shorthanded goal.
 
Roetzer opened the third period with her second goal of the game 66 seconds in. Morash and Brown notched assists on William Smith's 10th goal. Brown scored her second goal of the game at 4:46 with 
MaryKate Martino and Morash collecting the assists.
 
Twenty-three seconds later, Hampton deposited her second goal of the game behind Alexa Kanakry. Federow won the offensive zone faceoff back to Hampton, who, while being tripped, slid a shot between Kanakry's legs. The goal was Hampton's seventh of the season. The assist was Federow's UCHC leading 15th of the season. With three points in today's game, Federow now has 23 points on the season, third most in the conference, and the most in a single season by a Heron, breaking her own record of 22 set in 2015-16.
 
Senior 
Kiley Fewster closed out the game with her seventh goal of the season at 16:09. Mulligan was credited with an assist on the goal.
 
Moffat made 46 saves in the opening 25:50 in goal for Lebanon Valley (2-9-2, 1-4-1). Kanarky made 18 saves in the final 34:10.
 
William Smith finished the game with a 77-11 edge in shots on goal. The Herons were 1-for-4 on the power play while the Dutchmen were 0-for-3.
 
William Smith will be back in action next weekend, Jan. 20-21, when it faces Utica in a home-and-home series. The Pioneers will travel to Geneva on Saturday afternoon, while the Herons will make the trip to Utica the next day.
