The seventh-ranked William Smith College soccer team returns to action this weekend, Oct. 12-13, with a pair of games in the Capital Region. The Herons will take on Union on Friday at 4 p.m. in Schenectady, N.Y., before heading to Troy, N.Y., for a 2 p.m. contest against Rensselaer on Saturday.

William Smith enters the weekend with a 9-2-0 overall record and a 5-0-0 mark in the Liberty League. The Herons are coming off a 1-0 win at Clarkson last Saturday. Senior midfielder

Union enters the weekend with a 5-4-1 overall record and a 2-1-0 record in the Liberty League. On Saturday, Oct. 6, The Dutchwomen defeated the Engineers 2-1 in Troy. Offensively, Union is paced by Erin O'Shea and Paige Sherling who have three goals each. Emma Schleimer has a team best four assists. Kelsey Hartsoe has played a majority of the minutes in goal for the Dutchwomen. She has a 0.86 GAA and an .867 save percentage.

RPI brings a 4-6-1 overall record and a 1-2-1 record in the Liberty League into the weekend. The Engineers will host RIT on Friday afternoon. Jacqui Richard leads RPI with two goals and five points. Maddie Steinmetz has a team best two assists. Joey Lyons has played every minute in goal for the Engineers. She owns a 1.06 GAA and a .750 save percentage.
