For the third straight week, the William Smith College soccer team checked in at No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches poll. The Herons also remained at No. 6 in the D3soccer.com poll.

William Smith (11-2-0, 7-0-0) extended its winning streak to seven matches with a pair of shutout victories over Liberty League opponents last weekend. The Herons defeated Union 1-0 on Friday and bested Rensselaer 2-0 on Saturday.

Veronica Romines has started all seven Liberty League contests. In eight games, she is 7-0-0 with a 0.16 goals against average and a .933 save percentage. Romines has posted five shutouts.

The Herons return to Cozzens Field following a four game road trip. William Smith will take on Vassar on Saturday, Oct. 20. The Brewers are 7-5-1 overall and 3-3-0 in the Liberty League. Offensively, Vassar is led by Emma Tanner's six goals and 12 points. Ashley Ferry has a team best four assists. Fiona Walsh has played a majority of the minutes in goal for the Brewers. She is 6-5-1 with a 1.16 GAA and a .772 save percentage.

Saturday's match will be the 23rd meeting in a series that dates back to the turn of the century. The Herons are 21-0-1 all-time against the Brewers, including an 12-0-1 record in Geneva, N.Y.
