GENEVA, N.Y.-William Smith College senior
Megan Barwick scored a pair of goals to send William Smith past St. Lawrence 3-0 on Boswell Field at David J Urick Stadium this afternoon. With the win, the Herons improve to 13-3-0 on the season.
Barwick opened the scoring in the 19th minute. She picked up a rebound right in front of the cage and buried the loose ball past Allen. Sophomore
Julia Keogh was credited with the assist on the goal.
The Herons dominated possession outshooting the Saints 12-1.

Merilyn Hinrichs made it 2-0 with a free kick goal in the 58th minute. Following a foul, Hinrichs drilled a low line drive shot into the right corner of the cage. It was her third goal of the season. Barwick added an insurance goal 14 minutes later. Sophomore
Sheila McQuillen centered a pass into the box that a St. Lawrence defender tried to head out of the box. The ball deflected behind the defender to Barwick, who turned and slid a shot inside the right post. It was McQuillen's third assist of the season.
Senior
Veronica Romines made one save in 90 minutes of action as she notched her seventh shutout of the season. At the opposite end of the pitch, Allen made 11 saves in goal for St. Lawrence.
William Smith finished the game with a 23-2 advantage in shots and a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
The Herons will be back at David J Urick Stadium tomorrow when they compete for their 12th consecutive Liberty League Title. Tomorrow's championship game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
