The No. 17 William Smith College lacrosse team will host Skidmore College for a Liberty League game, the regular season finale for both teams, on Saturday, April 28 at 3 p.m.

It will be the final regular season home game for William Smith's six seniors –
Ali Burns,
Sarah Benyo,
Melissa Moore,
Kelsi Carr,
Cat Wolf and
Bailey Ebby. They have led the Herons to a 50-23 four-year record, a 30-6 record in the Liberty League, two Liberty League championships and two trips to the NCAA tournament.

The pregame celebration beings at 10:30 a.m. with a tailgate in the Bristol Field House parking lot. Food and music will be available for alumni, parents and Heron Society members. The tailgate will continue through the William Smith game.

The Herons bring an 11-4 overall record and an 8-1 mark in the Liberty League into tomorrow's game. William Smith, Skidmore and Ithaca have each secured a berth in the Liberty League Tournament. With a win tomorrow, the Herons can clinch the conference regular season title and the right to host the tournament semifinals and championship for the third year in a row.

Moore leads William Smith with 37 goals, 14 assists, 51 points and 31 ground balls. First-year
Mekayla Montgomery has a team-high 21 caused turnovers and 46 draws. First-year
Jules Kennedy has played the majority of minutes in goal. She leads the Liberty League and ranks eight in the nation with a 6.40 goals against average. Her .540 save percentage also sits atop the league and ranks 19th in Division III. Kennedy has an 8-2 record.

The game will be the 25th meeting between William Smith and SkidÂmore in a series that dates back to 1986. The Herons hold a 20-6 lead in the series. William Smith has a 12-2 advantage when playing at home.

Skidmore brings an 11-5 overall record and a 7-2 mark in the Liberty League into the contest. Cas Szwajkowski leads the team with 45 points on 41 goals and five assists. She also has a team-high 58 draws. Emily Hirsch leads the team with 24 caused turnovers and Natalie LaBeau has dished out a team-high 15 assists. Caroline Kenlon has played the most minutes in goal. She has a 9.50 GAA, a .469 save percentage and an 11-5 record.

Following the Hobart vs. Sacred Heart game and prior to the start of the Herons vs. the Thoroughbreds, the Colleges will hold a celebration of Statesmen and Heron scholar-athletes.
